Jason Coleman: Honoring the Music of his Grandfather Floyd Cramer

Pianist Jason ‘Floyd’ Coleman brings new life to the music made famous by his grandfather, Floyd Cramer, in a piano concert of country and pop classics. From humble beginnings on the Louisiana Hayride, to a Hall of Fame recording career in Nashville, to the iconic “Last Date” and signature ‘slip-note’ piano style, Jason plays his way through the musical history of his grandfather to tell the Floyd Cramer story in a way no one else can.

Otero Players Student Showcase

The Otero Players Student Showcase is a presentation of scenes, songs, and monologues performed by current and former Otero College students. The showcase will feature performances from Carolina Estrada Cortez, Phoebe Frausto, Alyson Greenlund, Sophia Lague, Heather Pidcock-Reed, and Griffin Snyder. The Showcase will end with the debut performance of a student written play: Abbie Hawkins’ Monopoly of Errors by Griffin Snyder.
Performances are on November 16 at 7 p.m. and November 17 at 2 p.m. at the Picketwire Center for Performing and Visual Arts (802 San Juan Ave., La Junta, CO). Admission to the event is free.
