Rattlers’ Den Food Court

The Rattlers’ Den is all about the students.

• All you can eat from one of five dining selections-International Station, Deli, Pizza, Burgers, Three Square and Salad Bar
• Bluetooth into the sound system
• Watch a game or play a movie on the 8 screen video wall

Board Meal Plans

All residence hall students will be automatically registered for a 19 meal per week plan in the Rattlers’ Den as part of their room and board. Residence hall students must have their student ID to eat in the Rattlers’ Den or pay cash. Students or Faculty can purchase “flex money” that is loaded on to your ID and can be used in the Venom Pit Coffee Shop. Students wishing to change their meal plan must do so in writing within the first two weeks of the semester. Current Room and Board Rates

Commuter Meal Plans

Students not living on campus can purchase blocks of meals to be used in the Rattlers’ Den all you can eat food court at a discount rate by visiting the Otero Cashier’s office located in Student Service (McBride Hall). The meal plan will be loaded onto your student ID card and can be used anytime the food court is open.

• 60 Meal Block — $451 ($7.52 per meal)
• 30 Meal Block — $242 ($8.07 per meal)

Pay at the Register

Of course you can always eat at the Rattlers’ Den without a meal plan. Prices for the all-you-can-eat buffet at the register are:

• Breakfast $6.95 plus tax
• Lunch $7.95 plus tax
• Dinner $8.75 plus tax

Starbucks Coffee Shop

The Venom Pit Coffee Shop is located inside the Learning Commons. We offer Starbucks beverages, FANS smoothies, bottled and canned beverages, freshly baked muffins and cookies, and a variety of salads and sandwiches.

Flex Money

Flex money is cash that is loaded on to your student ID card that can be used much like a debit card in the Venom Pit Coffee Shop. O-Stop or the Rattlers’ Den Food Court.

Any Otero student or staff can put flex money on their account by visiting the Otero cashier located in Student Service in McBride Hall.

For community groups who wish to enjoy Sodexo’s catering services, reservations need to be made in advance by visiting Otero Online Events Form and require a guarantee count of guests one week prior to the event, unless other arrangements have been made. Quotes for food service do not include sales tax or facility fee by the college.
