Online Orientation

Otero’s Online Orientation program is designed to provide new students with an introduction to Otero College procedures, academic programs, financial aid, and student affairs. It is strongly recommended for new students to take this Orientation program so you can get familiar with the campus and find out about all that Otero has to offer.

The Online Orientation contains video and text as well as short questionnaires for different sections. Students should expect the Online Orientation to take 30 minutes to an hour to complete.

Morning Schedule
Sessions 1, 2, and 3 will cover the student Portal and D2L, using Navigate as well as ordering books and printing schedules

8:00-8:30 AM: Check-In
8:30-9:30 AM: Session 1
9:40-10:40 AM: Session 2
10:50-11:50 AM: Session 3
11:50 AM – 12:30 PM: Lunch

Afternoon Schedule
Sessions 4, 5 and 6 will cover financial aid questions, how to use DegreeWorks, reviewing the graduation app and transfer process for sophomores, brief campus tours and fun break out sessions with faculty.

12:30-1:30 PM: Session 4
1:40-2:40 PM: Session 5
2:50-3:50 PM: Session 6
