Otero College’s MLT Students Compete in Cell Bowl
The Medical Laboratory Technician Program’s 1st and 2nd year classes are competing in a Cell Bowl sponsored by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. This is a national tournament between 65 teams from 30 states of both MLT and MLS schools. The object is to achieve the highest cell quiz score by identifying hematological blood cells. The goal is to have fun while preparing for the ASCP Board exams and learning cell identification.
Otero’s MLT Program is in the playoffs as one of 12 teams. Please congratulate these MLT students on a job well done and wish them success in the next two weeks.
Angela Tarrant, MLT Program Director said, “This is a great opportunity to showcase the excellent program at Otero College. If anyone is interested in the medical laboratory technician or the phlebotomy program, we are registering for spring classes now. Please cheer our team to victory. Go Rattlers!”
