Grupo Folklórico del Pueblo to Perform at Otero College on Oct. 6

Otero College will be hosting Grupo Folklórico del Pueblo on Thurs. Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Ed Stafford Theatre. Their performance is free and open to the public.

The People’s Folk Group is a non-profit Mexican Folk dance organization. Their mission is to educate and perform folk cultural arts emphasizing Southern Colorado’s Culturally diverse identities while promoting community involvement, preservation of culture, and the emotional and physical development of children, youth, and adults.

Monica L. Martinez, AIM Case Manager and organizer of the event, said, “I am very excited to have Grupo Folklórico del Pueblo travel here for Hispanic Heritage Month. It’s wonderful to have them share the culture with Otero College and the Arkansas Valley communities.”
