The Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) mandates that colleges and universities involved in intercollegiate athletics and offering federal financial aid submit an annual report to the U.S. Department of Education. This report outlines athletic participation, staffing, as well as revenues and expenses for men’s, women’s, and coed teams. The information gathered is used to update Congress on gender equity in college sports.
