The town itself lies at an elevation of 4,002 feet, has a population of 6,800, a movie theater, bowling alley, and over 30 eating options. La Junta is located in the Arkansas Valley, right in the heart of Southeast Colorado’s farming and ranching country. Rich with Native American history, La Junta has a story around every turn.
